A mystical series based on Komi-Permyak myths and legends transports viewers to mysterious places shrouded in ancient lore. Although the plot takes place near Kudymkar, the filming took place in Perm Krai. The main locations were the areas of Chusovoy, Gubakha, and Alexandrovsk, as well as Kamenny Gorod, Usvinskie Stolby, and the famous Kungur Ice Cave. The production of the series lasted from August to September 2019, capturing the transition from summer to autumn and the first signs of winter. The region's nature, with dense spruce forests and cold rivers, organically fit into the atmosphere of a mystical thriller.

The scene where Egor and Tanya, searching for the hero's parents, approach a river on an old motorcycle. Egor still has difficulty moving and feels weak after falling into a swamp, but there is no time to recover — a long journey lies ahead. He realizes they need to head to the Gray Rock, as the ikotka warned him when it possessed him.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the rock formation "Kamen Strelny" on the banks of the Koiva River in Perm Krai. It is a tall, elongated cliff located in a taiga area surrounded by dense forests. The Koiva River flows at its foot, with a winding channel and rocky banks. For the filming, a temporary wooden bridge was built across the river specifically for the scene.

The scene where Uncle Kolya brings Tanya and Egor to a mysterious stone arch. Egor feels that his father is somewhere beyond it. Tanya worries about him, but he promises to return. The heroine wants to go with him, but Uncle Kolya warns that only the "heir" should continue the journey.

In Reality

The scene was filmed at the "Tsarskie Vorota" (Royal Gates), a natural arch-shaped formation on the Chusovaya River, located near the rock "Dyrovatye Ryobra". The arch is a 10-meter limestone vault left from a collapsed karst cave. It is located in Perm Krai, in the area of a mountain ridge surrounded by dense forests. This section of the river is popular among tourists, especially rafting and hiking enthusiasts.

Cave

The scene where Egor enters a dark cave, lighting his way only with a flashlight. He moves forward persistently until the passage narrows so much that he has to crawl on his stomach. At the end of the path, he reaches an underground lake, and the only way to continue is to submerge into the water.

In Reality

The scene was filmed in the Kungur Ice Cave, one of the largest karst caves in Russia, located in Perm Krai near the city of Kungur. The explored part of the cave is about 5.7 km long, of which about 1.5 km are equipped for visits. Inside, there are numerous grottoes, underground lakes, and ice formations that persist even in summer due to the special microclimate. The cave is known for its unique ice stalactites and stalagmites, as well as impressive halls such as the Grotto of the Giant, the Cross Grotto, and the Polar Grotto. It is a popular tourist attraction, and filming here is rarely allowed due to the fragility of the natural formations. 'Territoriya' became the first series to receive official permission to film inside this cave.
