For the filming of the movie, the film crew needed an old village where people live away from the city bustle. And the production team found such a place in the Leningrad Region - it became the village of Shondovichi. According to the actors, the residents of the settlement were happy to have guests, and some of them even appeared as extras in the film.
For the filming of urban scenes, the production team moved to the city of Volkhov in the Leningrad Region. There, the locations used for the film included Molodezhnaya Street and a house on Aviatsionnaya Street.

Bridge

In the movie

The scene where a car with groceries approaches the bridge spanning the river. The villagers, all four of them, come to make purchases. The driver suggests the characters move closer to civilization. Lyokha exchanges barbs with Tatyana.

In reality

The scene was filmed near the footbridge over the Oyat River, located in the village of Shondovichi. The crossing is the only way for the village to connect with the "mainland." It was always made temporary, only for the spring-summer period. In winter, the bridge was dismantled. After filming, the actors appealed to the district administration to install a permanent bridge in the village. The request was granted. Thanks to this, the residents of Shondovichi can now cross the river without hindrance in any season.

Gazebo

In the movie

The scene where Grishka, Tatyana, and Lyokha decide to continue the feast outdoors. They leave the house and settle in a gazebo on the riverbank. The heroine asks Grisha to show the trick again. The hero places an empty bottle on the table, concentrates, directs his hands toward the vessel, and the bottle begins to move.

In reality

The scene was filmed in a gazebo on the bank of the Oyat River in the village of Shondovichi. The gazebo was built by the production team as a set for the film. It was not dismantled, and now it is part of the village structures where residents can spend time.

Brother's apartment

In the movie

The scene where Grisha comes to the city for building materials. After shopping, he visits his brother Vitya. The brother says he wasn't ready for guests and the fridge is "bare as a bone." Grisha invites Vitya to visit the village, but the brother brushes it off, saying he won't go to that backwoods.

In reality

The scene was filmed in the city of Volkhov, Leningrad Region, at 34 Aviatsionnaya Street. The production team moved the filming to the city to show the contrast between the lives led by the main character and his brother.
