Varya: I constantly argue about films, but always in a friendly manner. Recently I argued with an acquaintance who said that "Anora" is a bad film. And I tried to prove that if you don't like it, that doesn't mean the film is bad. More often, arguments are not about a specific film but about a phenomenon as a whole. About whether a film can be considered unsuccessful just because it has a terrible main character. And whether musicals as a genre deserve such love.

Zhenya: Most often I argue about attitudes towards our modern cinema. Sometimes I have to argue for a long time with a lot of arguments. As an example, I remember most of all my "battles" for justifying the existence of the series "Union of Salvation: Time of Wrath". I emphasize, specifically the series. Even you, dear editor, when I chose this series in the final top of the year, clarified: "Are you sure?" One hundred percent sure. But only about the series.

Varya: I don't recall, I always try to watch films to the end, even if I stop enjoying them. The last time I remember was "Django Unchained". And even then, the film is wonderful, I just realized that due to general fatigue I was falling asleep, and postponed the end of viewing for later.

Zhenya: Generally, I try to watch everything to the end, even if it's not interesting. What if there's something to praise at the end? It's not for nothing that I'm a Film Praiser. But there was such a case recently. It was the film "The Strangers: Chapter 2". I was distracted from watching, and then I had no desire to continue.

Varya: I love my series of articles on Disney live-action remakes ("Snow White", Disney live-action remakes). The viewing process itself did not cause wild enthusiasm, but then trying to explain to myself (and to readers) why it is bad and doesn't work is surprisingly pleasant. I especially highlight the article about "West Side Story", because I love musicals, and here such an opportunity to slip in a little theory came up, well, it's lovely.

Zhenya: I am very proud that the material about the second "Thunder" got a lot of views. I watched the film a month before its release, thought over the text for a long time, and of course it was nice to see such a response. I was also surprised that the material on "Karamora" also became popular, although the idea of comparing with historical figures seems cool to me. But my favorite material, my favorite format, is the dream cast for "Coronation". Creating it was pure bliss. Later I repeated this format with the adaptation of Atomic Heart, I hope Kinopoisk sees it and takes it into account. And I hope there will be more such materials, as it is very cool, a real field for creativity.

Varya: "When Harry Met Sally", probably. There are films I love more, but this one evokes very warm feelings that are impossible to convey. And you can watch it at any time of the year! In autumn for the New York vibe, and for New Year because important events happen there exactly during celebrations. In short, I like it.

Zhenya: Interesting question. In different years, these were different films. For some reason, "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" comes to mind. Sometimes I loved to rewatch Fincher, especially "The Social Network", but perhaps I always return to "Midnight in Paris". There is its own atmosphere that makes you believe in miracles and dreams.
