Electric Nail Clipper

There is a category of things you don't know exist until you stumble upon them, and then you can't imagine how you lived without them. Like a smart ear swab with a camera (yes, it exists, yes, it's wonderful, no, there won't be a separate text). Now the second: an electric nail clipper. I honestly didn't know such a thing existed. Turns out it does, and it solves a problem I never even formulated as a problem.

It doesn't work like clippers, but rather like a very delicate mini grinder: it doesn't cut the nail in one motion, but nibbles at the edge - gently, gradually, exactly as much as needed. Sounds scary, but in reality, it's the opposite. With regular clippers, there's always a chance of cutting too much, pinching the skin, or leaving a sharp corner that catches on everything. Here, it's physically impossible: the machine removes micro-layers one by one, you can see what's happening at any moment, and you can stop anytime. The result is a smooth, rounded, already polished edge - as if the nails weren't cut but carefully filed.

It's especially great for those who find nail cutting difficult: with the left hand, in an awkward position, with the eternal risk of the nail flying to the other end of the room. Here, nothing flies anywhere (there's a container for filings), nothing needs to be caught, no aiming required. You just run it along the edge and listen to it quietly hum. I won't say it's an essential item; clippers were invented long ago and work fine. But this is exactly the case when a small household inconvenience you've put up with your whole life suddenly disappears completely. And you think: oh, so it could be like this?
