The scene was filmed at RMS Queen Mary is a retired British ocean liner that sailed primarily in the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967 for the Cunard-White Star Line. Queen Mary was officially retired in 1967. The ship has served as a tourist attraction with restaurants, a museum, and a hotel. In 2021, management of the ship was transferred to the city of Long Beach. Ciro's was a famous nightclub on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood. It was popular with stars such as Bogart, Bacall, Sinatra, Monroe, Lucille Ball, and Desi. It opened in 1940 but closed in 1957. It reopened as a rock club in 1965 and became The Comedy Store in 1972. "The ship also served as the office of RKO production head Charles Koerner (Brian Howe), the CBS studio commissary, and the network's conference room where Ball tells executives she will not film 'I Love Lucy' without her husband as co-star," according to a great article on Dirt.com.
