In reality

The scene was filmed at Oirschotse Markt - one of the most beautiful squares in the province of Brabant (Netherlands). It is surrounded by cultural-historical buildings, including the more than five-century-old Sint Petruskerk church and the former town hall dating back to 1513. Beautiful buildings that more than enhance the authentic and atmospheric character. Filming began in September 2020. The location manager for this film is Thijs Bolle. For these shoots, we were looking for an idyllic and typical Brabant village where we could create a fair atmosphere. Oirschot quickly came into our sights.

Oudezijds Voorburgwal

In the movie

The scene where Ferry and Danielle meet in the city, when Ferry waits for his meeting, Danielle has a bachelorette party in Amsterdam.

In reality

The scene was filmed at Oudezijds Voorburgwal - a street and canal in the Red Light District in the center of Amsterdam. OZ Voorburgwal runs from Grimburgwal in the south to the Zeedijk in the north, where it turns into Oudezijds Kolk, a waterway to the IJ. This is a street with sex shops, prostitution and coffee shops, as well as a street with monumental Golden Age canal houses and remnants of monasteries that stood here in the Middle Ages. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the canal was called Vervetburgwal.
