The scene was filmed at Red Square is the most important city square in Moscow, Russia. It separates the Kremlin, the former royal citadel and now the official residence of the President of Russia, from the historic merchant quarter known as Kitay-gorod. The name Red Square is not related to the color of the bricks that pave the square, nor to the association between the color red and communism. Rather, the name originated from the Russian word "красная", which means both red and beautiful.

The scene was filmed at This is the only surviving building from the palace of Emperor Alexander I, which was located here in the early 19th century. Kolomenskoye was a place where the future emperor often visited in his childhood together with his grandmother Catherine II. In 2005-2006, the Moscow State Integrated Museum-Reserve carried out a full-scale restoration of the pavilion, which returned it to its original appearance.

The scene was filmed at Palace Square is the central city square of Saint Petersburg. Many historical events took place here, including the Bloody Sunday massacre and part of the October Revolution of 1917. Between 1918 and 1944, it was known as Uritsky Square. The two wings of the building are connected by an entrance in the form of a Triumphal Arch, which includes three interconnected arches decorated with a bas-relief. The arches are not arranged one behind the other, so as you pass through each of them, you gradually see the grandeur and expanse of the square. At the top of the arch, you can see a chariot with six horses led by the majestic goddess Glory with a laurel wreath in one hand and a standard in the other. The sculptural project was created by Stepan Pimenov and Vasily Demut-Malinovsky. The arch was opened on October 24, 1828.

In the center of the square stands the Alexander Column. The monument was erected after Russia's victory in the war against Napoleonic France. It was designed by Auguste de Montferrand. Its height is 47.5 meters.
