In reality

The scene was filmed at Syon House - a magnificent London home of the Duke of Northumberland. The house was built in the sixteenth century. The Great Conservatory in the Syon Park garden was designed by Charles Fowler in the 1820s. Construction was completed in 1827. It was the first conservatory built from metal and glass on a large scale. In 1986 and 1987, the building was carefully restored.
