The scene was filmed at Main Street Station Hotel and Casino and Brewery - a hotel and casino located in downtown Las Vegas. The hotel opened as Holiday International in 1978. It closed in 1984. Boyd Gaming acquired the defunct hotel in 1993 for $16.5 million. In real life, the murder occurred in the parking lot of a restaurant called Tony Roma's, now Hustler Hollywood in Las Vegas (620 E Sahara Ave, Las Vegas).
