The scene was filmed at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, which is the main civil building of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, located at 111 North Hill Street in Los Angeles. It is part of the Civic Center complex, which includes the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration of Los Angeles County. Stanley Mosk (1912-2001) was an associate justice of the Supreme Court of California for 37 years (1964-2001) and holds the record for the longest tenure as a justice of that court. Before serving on the Supreme Court, he held positions as Attorney General of California and a trial court judge, among other public offices.

The scene was filmed at the Knickerbocker Bar & Grill, located in the heart of Greenwich Village. The restaurant is open every day of the year, serving lunch and dinner, as well as brunch on weekends. Knickerbocker is known for its great jazz and 28-ounce T-Bone steaks, and is a favorite among many celebrities. In recent articles, F. Murray Abraham and Ben Stiller have mentioned it as one of their favorites. There is a performance space where live jazz is played every Friday and Saturday. The film crew shot at Knickerbocker Bar & Grill in March 2019 over 3 days.

The scene was filmed at Seventh Avenue station on the IND Sixth Avenue Line and IND Queens Boulevard Line of the New York City Subway. Flatbush Avenue is a major avenue in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. It runs from the Manhattan Bridge south-southeast to Jamaica Bay, where it connects to the Marine Parkway-Gil Hodges Memorial Bridge, which connects Brooklyn to the Rockaway Peninsula in Queens. The northern part was extended from Fulton Street to the Manhattan Bridge as the "Flatbush Avenue Extension."
