The scene was filmed at the Transamerica Pyramid at 600 Montgomery Street - a 48-story futuristic building and the second tallest skyscraper on the San Francisco skyline. The building no longer houses the Transamerica Corporation headquarters, but it is still associated with the company and is depicted on its logo. Designed by architect William Pereira, upon completion in 1972 it was the eighth tallest building in the world.
