The Mutianyu Great Wall was first built by the Northern Qi Dynasty (550-577 AD) over 1,400 years ago. The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is a masterpiece of restoration, with 23 watchtowers in original style. Mutianyu is the longest fully restored section of the Great Wall open to tourists. The film was shot around Tower No. 14 of the Mutianyu section in Huairou County, which is about 45 miles from Beijing.
