The scene was filmed at Tennessee State Prison - a former correctional facility located near downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The beautiful abandoned prison has 800 small cells and stone walls 3 feet thick. Opened in 1898 and designed for 1400 people, it was a correctional facility where many served their sentences. After the prison closed its doors to inmates in 1992, it opened them to the film industry. Films such as "Nashville", "Walk the Line", "The Green Mile", and "The Last Castle" were filmed here.
