The scene was filmed at Tybee Island Pier and Pavilion, located near US Highway 80 at the end of Tybrisa Street. A great spot for fishing and people-watching. Besides the stunning view and excellent fishing, it's also a gathering place used for dances, musical performances, and special events. The area has picnic tables, a snack bar, and public restrooms. Various festivals and events are held here throughout the year. Open daily. Free admission. The original Tybrisa Pier and Pavilion served as a landmark of the South Atlantic for three-quarters of a century. Built in 1891 by the Central of Georgia Railway, it became a famous destination for day-trippers and seasonal tourists in an era when advertising called Tybee the premier resort of the South Atlantic. The open-air dance floor against the backdrop of coastal nature made it a legendary stop for touring big bands and for five decades of pop performers. A fire destroyed it in 1967. Thanks to the efforts of Tybee Island residents, Chatham County built the Tybrisa Pavilion II and dedicated it on August 9, 1996.
