I want to share a personal story with you
Yesterday I invited you to my performance in Vladimir and caught myself putting off posting this announcement as much as possible.
It would seem, the earlier you post the information, the more likely someone will see it and come. So, for some reason, I don't want that?
Despite the fact that since music school (over 20 years ago) I have performed on stage in various roles, including singing, every time I lack confidence that everything will go well.
I perceive my voice as something so dependent on external circumstances: ENT diseases, day of the menstrual cycle, humidity in the room, that my brain doesn't want to consciously take that risk.
☹️What if I invite everyone, they come, and I get sick and let everyone down?
☹️ What if I'm not in good form, sing poorly, and disappoint someone?
☹️ What if the equipment can't be set up during soundcheck, I won't enjoy singing, but I'll have to sing anyway?
When I think about why I didn't build a professional singing career, I realize: these fears are my main obstacles on the path to realizing my creative potential.
And it seems only now, thanks to work with psychologists and self-analysis, I am beginning to understand how these mechanisms work in my head. And most importantly, how to fix it.
We'll discuss it in more detail this Sunday at our webinar: "
