If you look at the picture, you might think that Prime Video has released a masterpiece like no other. In reality, it's not like that at all.

The main problem is that the series hasn't decided on its target audience.

For noir fans, it's too childish and simple in terms of plot (given all the genre's peculiarities), and it has too many stupid jokes. Visually, the black-and-white doesn't even feature techniques from old cinema (except for the tilted horizons that become annoying by the first episode).

For comic book fans, there's too little comic book content, apart from superficial references to well-known characters. And what is this cheap action supposed to be?

Not to mention that the creators failed to "marry" noir and superheroics, and they exist separately.

This might only appeal to Nicolas Cage fans, but they have a wide selection of things to enjoy besides this messed-up series.
