In the present, Juliette Nichols (Ferguson) survives a forced "cleaning," but returns with memory loss — as the bunker recovers from a rebellion and faces a new dangerous threat. Meanwhile, in the "pre-disaster era," journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) and Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zukerman) uncover a conspiracy that pulls them into a chain of events with catastrophic and irreversible consequences.
