Yesterday, our long-awaited performance with Adrian took place at the SëMinor festival in Vladimir 🥳
I was very worried about how everything would go. The road to another city, lengthy preparation and waiting before the performance. A large hall with professional equipment, smoke, and lights.
When, three numbers before ours, my son said he urgently needed to eat, otherwise he wouldn't have enough strength to perform on stage, and then hit his head on the door and spilled water on himself while washing his hands, I thought our number wouldn't happen today 😅. But we pulled ourselves together, made it in time, and performed.
He didn't forget the lyrics, came in on time, wasn't shy, and didn't clown around during the performance. I consider that a success 👏🏻
On the downside: there were sound issues, as it was his first time singing on a big stage with monitoring. The music was loud, and he felt he needed to shout to be heard in the hall. So he sang too loudly and above the notes.
At first, I was even a little upset and started blaming myself for not being able to set up the perfect sound for my son. But then I realized that everything happened in the best possible way and exactly as it should. Each of us gained important experience, including accepting the imperfection of this life and its value.
We immensely enjoyed the performance and the trip as a whole. I don't regret my decision for a second. We will definitely remember this adventure for a lifetime.
I thank the organizers and you for your words of support and faith 🙏🏻
