We only dream of peace. Greetings from the Far North!
I had only a couple of days to rest after SPIEF, and now fate has brought me to the Far North — to the hero city of Murmansk.
Here, our Sber team held a "Digital Day" for clients in northern Russia, where your humble servant once again acted as a speaker. I could say I'm now a rising underground star. The tours aren't in Paris or Las Vegas yet, but everyone starts somewhere.
We talked about Sber's digital technologies and, of course, about artificial intelligence. It seems the word "AI" from my lips now sounds more often than the words "hello" and "mom." And this, by the way, is especially interesting to discuss right here. The North is about distances, industry, logistics, complex infrastructure, and harsh conditions.
Murmansk made a very pleasant impression. Beautiful nature, fresh northern air, and the white nights here are whiter than those in St. Petersburg. The colorful Soviet-era houses with their shades somehow remind me of Amsterdam (a very unusual comparison, but don't stir the poet's soul). Only instead of canals, there are hills, a port, and icebreakers. By the way, I managed to take a photo in front of the legendary nuclear icebreaker "Lenin."
At some point, we decided to booze walk until sunset. That, by the way, is closer to the end of July. Polar day, after all. But the road calls me again.
So I'm a travel blogger now, it seems?
