The online cinema Okko has released a new drama "The Lesson" from the film company MEM Cinema Production. We tell you what to expect from the school of life and whether it is worth skipping the last lesson.
The series "The Lesson" tells the story of Anton (Yura Borisov), a once-successful musician who lost everything after an accident that killed his girlfriend Lisa and his subsequent hospitalization in a drug treatment facility. Now the former star returns to his hometown, where his older brother Konstantin (Daniil Vorobyov), always his complete opposite, still lives. Konstantin offers his brother help, but with one condition: Anton becomes a teacher at a school and is now forced to delve into the problems of teenagers.
At first glance, after the release of the trailers, it seems that the entire plot will revolve around the relationship and the question of which brother is cooler. And that we are in for another film where the viewer will watch the protagonist's pangs of conscience and emotional turmoil.

But upon viewing, everything turns out to be the opposite: the main characters here are by no means the brothers. The series, without any warm-up, transports viewers to Anton's hometown and within the walls of that very school.
The characters of Borisov and Vorobyov become guides into the world of schoolchildren. It is much more interesting to watch the development of relationships in the classroom. The creators gradually introduce us to the world of each student with their problems and hobbies. Here, in classic school drama fashion, you can find a grind, a rich boy, or a bully athlete. But at the same time, these characters do not feel clichéd, and it is genuinely interesting to follow their experiences. And, of course, this is thanks to the young actors, among them:
- Polina Denisova;
- Alena Dolgolenko;
- Oleg Savostyuk;
- Ayush Ochir-Goryaev;
- Ivan Petrosyan;
- Roman Bordachev;
- Elizaveta Karyakina;
- Vitaly Shcherbina.

Still, we must not forget about the main, advertised cinematic duo. Anton and Konstantin represent two opposites, but the viewer understands that they are united not only by family ties but also by secrets from the past that will be revealed later. In the first episodes, Yura Borisov takes on the burden of creating humorous moments, as if saving all his dramatic intensity for later episodes. But it is already noticeable that Anton is an understanding and compassionate young man. He has no star disease, but there is a great reluctance to get involved in other people's problems and influence destinies. To a large extent, he himself resembles the students who become his charges.

But Daniil Vorobyov, from the very first minutes, presents a strong image not just of a teacher, but of the best educator in this city. We see that his character is extremely restrained and tries not to display emotions in public. At the same time, Konstantin embodies the phrase: "A teacher by vocation." He becomes a teacher not only within the school walls but also in life. Vorobyov's character takes care of the parents of Anton's deceased girlfriend, tries to resolve the students' issues. And, of course, he becomes a teacher for his brother. He does not lecture, but systematically tries to point out his mistakes. It is as if he and Anton are going through a lesson topic, but that topic is life.
The main line is parental, for example, in my case, the relationship: maternal and filial. This line is always relevant, regardless of the era.
Daniil Vorobyov
The creators of the series tried to create an honest picture that reflects life itself. This is clearly a lesson you want to repeat and definitely not be late for.
