Kinopoisk announced that a film adaptation of the computer game Atomic Heart will be released next year. We decided not to waste time and fantasize about the cast of the future film.
What the Game Atomic Heart Is About
The shooter Atomic Heart by Mundfish came like a bolt from the blue and became a huge hit in the world of computer games. Many marketing collaborations were created, and some NPCs (non-player characters), like the Twins, Goose, Granny, and their quotes became public domain.
The game's story presents an alternate Soviet reality of the 1950s, originating from the development of robotics and high technology during World War II. The game world is not far from the ideals humanity strives for today: a happy society, the supremacy of science, ideal cities with sunlit green parks and squares, automation of everyday life, and a reach for the stars.
The main character of Atomic Heart is P-3, an intelligence officer carrying out special assignments. Of course, at some point the idyll is disrupted, everything goes wrong, and the character gets caught in a whirlwind of adventures and intrigues.
Let's not beat around the bush and present who could play in the film adaptation of Atomic Heart.
P-3 – Alexander Gorbatov, Pavel Chinarev, Pyotr Rykov
Sergei Nechaev, aka P-3 — an intelligence officer for special assignments and a specialist in resolving complex situations by any means, including force. He is subordinate to Comrade Sechenov. He is the main character of our story.

Of course, choosing the main character is the most crucial task. Especially considering that the game Atomic Heart itself is mostly first-person, and we don't see all of Sergei's reactions to events from the outside. We only hear his caustic comments and learn about his special love for pies. So we've gathered all the maximum brutality of modern domestic cinema for you. Interestingly, for example, Gorbatov has already played Nechaev, albeit Alexander, in the series 'GDR'.
HRAZ – Pyotr Semak

A polymer artificial intelligence built into an experimental glove, possessing an extensive knowledge base. For most of the game, HRAZ appears as an annoying voice that constantly argues with the main character, but he is also very useful in various dangerous situations.
Who could help us with this? We assume that enjoying Pyotr Semak's voice can last a long time. Semak was recently seen in the film 'Eterna: Part One', but he is better known to audiences as the voice of Tyler Durden. Yes, that was him.
Dmitry Sechenov – Yuri Chursin

A neurosurgeon, roboticist, inventor, and philanthropist. After the war, he was appointed head of the robotics development program to compensate for significant human losses. His revolutionary discovery of mimetic polymer adaptation allowed the safe implantation of an extraordinary and promising technology into human tissue.
Yuri Chursin is a frequent guest in Kinopoisk projects and masterfully knows how to add mystery to his character. And that's exactly why Sechenov is loved — you never know what to expect from him.
Viktor Petrov – Evgeny Tkachuk
A robotics engineer and programmer. He actively participates in the party life of Enterprise 3826. He is a member of the bureau of the primary party organization of the Scientific Collective of Enterprise 3826.

The part of Atomic Heart where Viktor appears is saturated with theatricality, a touch of madness, and is definitely remembered for a long time. Oh, those ballerinas and the magnificent production with Natasha in the lead role! The main thing is not to lose your head over it.
For this role, our imaginary casting also included another Evgeny, but he took a different role (see below). We all watched Evgeny Tkachuk's performance in the series '' with fascination and know that he is a master of madness. So Petrov's image will suit him.
Kinopoisk premiered the first two episodes of the series about the horror punk band 'The King and the Jester'. About why this series is not only a bright premiere this spring, but also a unique
Open materialMichael Stockhausen – Evgeny Schwartz
A German scientist of Jewish origin who worked as a doctor in Berlin during the war. He was saved by Soviet soldiers. Thanks to his scientific and organizational talents, Michael rose through the ranks. As a scientist from the German SSR, he was among the employees of the Enterprise under a quota. He is the right hand of Academician Sechenov.

After imagining Evgeny Schwartz in the previous role for a long time, it became clear that this would definitely not be the Viktor we are used to in the game. So we would rather assign Schwartz the role of a scientist who constantly gets into trouble. It's time for Evgeny to step out of historical roles and try something new.
Granny Zina – Era Ziganshina
Despite her advanced age, Zina is a feisty granny, capable of cracking a soldier's skull with a frying pan all by herself. A lieutenant colonel, former communications officer of Enterprise 3826. She belonged to the inner circle of Academician Sechenov, but their paths diverged long ago.

This is the most beloved choice of our virtual casting. The wonderful, inspiring, and captivating Era Ziganshina is the best possible option. The little robber from the fairy tale 'The Snow Queen' and the strict mother-in-law of Lyubov Aksyonova from the series 'Exes'. Just remember how she held on in the saddle! She will definitely raise hell in her hut on chicken legs.
Larisa Filatova – Dasha Vereshchagina
A high-class neurosurgeon. A talented employee of the Academy of Consequences and a specialist distinguished by intelligence and subtle manipulative behavior. After the death of her mentor, she continued the work of integrating human consciousness into 'Collective 2.0'.

There aren't many female characters in Atomic Heart, but this one is among the most intriguing. The young star of the film 'A Hundred Years Ahead' will fit perfectly into the project, the main thing is to coordinate with the filming of 'Fury' from the same Kinopoisk.
This is the cast according to the editorial board of 'After Credits'. Whether we hit the mark or not, we'll find out in a year (or when the official cast announcement is made). In the meantime, share your suitable actor options in the comments.
