A gloomy man Adam Clay () tends a small apiary far from civilization. The temporary dwelling was kindly provided by a local resident Eloise Parker (Phylicia Rashad), whom Clay occasionally helps with chores. One day, Eloise falls into the trap of cyber scammers, who cynically steal not only her own funds but also the money of the foundation she managed. Unable to bear the nervous tension, she commits suicide, after which Clay, who was treated with warmth by the woman, decides to take revenge, recalling all the combat skills he once acquired in a special unit called 'The Beekeepers'.

On the villain's side, besides the trendy actor , there is also veteran actor Jeremy Irons , playing a retired special agent with an intelligent profile and the cold appearance of a gray eminence, looking after a negligent stepson. From the first news of the suddenly retired beekeeper, he grimly hints to his offspring about the inevitability of meeting him and makes weak attempts to somehow stop the people's avenger. And as things draw to a close, Irons' character, like a serpent tempter, carefully appears behind Clay and offers to retreat, not disturbing the fragile peace built on human tragedies. 'What bothers you so much?' he sincerely wonders in a brief conversation with the beekeeper. 'Justice,' Statham replies sullenly and breaks Irons' arm.
