An exclusive screening of the animated series by Egor Loskutov and Dima Syenduk will take place at Comic Con Astana.

During the Comic Con Astana festival, an exclusive screening of the first episode of an adult animated comedy series titled “Explainykins” is scheduled.

The works of Egor Loskutov and Dima Syenduk can be seen on the YouTube channels sndk and “EGOR.” For example, the parody of the animated series “Fixiki” — “Fixers and the Big Secret” – became one of the most popular videos on YouTube in 2019.

Syenduk is also known for his work as a voice actor – his voice is used for the characters in “Rick and Morty.” Egor is a screenwriter, producer, and director (“Russian ‘Black Mirror’”, videos on the sndk and “EGOR” channels).

The Explainykins characters first appeared in the animated sketch show “I’ve Already Seen This” (since 2020), an author’s animated almanac that aired on the sndk channel. They were introduced to the audience as a big, cheerful family, but the story goes that Grandpa signed a contract with a big producer, and according to it, the Explainykins cannot age, die, must live in one apartment, and always answer the questions asked by Sonny. From episode to episode, Daddy, Mommy, Grandpa, and Grandma discuss topics thrown at them by Sonny. Once, the family considered their show cozy and enjoyed filming, but now they are fed up with everything. They cannot break the contract, change anything in their lives, or stop explaining, so the Explainykins decide to sabotage the process and admit to everyone that they are far from the perfect family, hoping the producer will fire them.

As Egor Loskutov notes: “Explainykins” is an animated series about an imperfect family that shoots a show about our imperfect world. Each episode is unlike the previous one and entertains on completely different levels. In general, the project’s slogan is ‘Easier to show than to explain’.

The premiere of the first season of the animated series “Explainykins,” consisting of eight episodes, is expected in autumn 2023.

Participants of Comic Con Astana will have the opportunity to personally ask questions to the project creators, YouTube stars Dima Syenduk and Egor Loskutov, as well as director Evgeny “ArhyBES” Blinnikov. The Q&A session will be moderated by the social media editor of Plus and the online cinema Kinopoisk, Alik Kemalov.
