The second season of the series "Life on Call" by Sarik Andreasyan has started on Kion. About the first two episodes – in our article.

The former owner of an elite escort agency, Alexander Schmidt (Pavel Priluchny), nicknamed the Wizard, who fled abroad, returns to Moscow to take revenge on his enemies – oligarch Ruzhinsky (Alexander Yatsko), who ruined Schmidt's life, and Denis Viktorovich (Vladimir Sychev), who orchestrated a massacre of the escorts from his agency. The Wizard restarts the business with the help of Anton and his sister Nastya, who, thanks to Schmidt, avoid responsibility for the murder of the cruel pimp Vadik. But Schmidt's main goal is to save his daughter Alina, who, after the events of the first season, became an escort to spite her father.

Back in August, the creators of the series began to stoke interest in this project. The documentary film "Life on Call. Doc" premiered. It tells the story of the elite segment of the sex industry in modern Russia from the perspective of the representatives of the illegal business themselves. Without embellishment, without regrets, and the whole truth about this lifestyle.

The first episodes of the new season are presented in the same vein. We are immersed in the world of escort from the perspective of the heroines. Because of this approach, it seems that the project could be interesting and unusual.

But then, with each passing minute, everything changes. The focus shifts to the male part of the cast, and they come to the forefront. And what do we get as a result? A male perspective on such a complex issue and, at the same time, a very superficial attitude towards the problem.

From a psychological drama that could have been tolerable, the project turns into a detective showdown fixated on money. This is accompanied by red and gold colors that will hit the eyes from the screen, as well as explicit scenes that do not at all aim to evoke any empathy for the heroines. But at the same time, the atmosphere here is not at all like in "The Kept Women," which reflects on similar themes: there is no beauty, gloss, or style, only the bitter truth and a picture close to reality.

But it is pleasant to observe how the acting skills that Pavel Priluchny clearly lost during the filming of the second season of "" were rediscovered, making the project look a little better than it actually is.
