On August 11, a melodrama with the poetic title “See You on Venus” is released on online cinemas. For the main character, Venus is a special place where peace and love reign. Will the film itself become just as special for the viewer?

Mia (Virginia Gardner) is a kind and positive girl. At first, she may seem naive and funny, even superficial, but that’s just the first impression. Mia has her own secret and a very important, truly special life goal.

Kyle (Alex Aiono) is a handsome, sad angel with a melancholic gaze. He has everything — talent, opportunities, loving parents. But a tragic accident seems to have left Kyle alone forever with a monstrous sense of guilt that weighs on him so heavily it becomes almost unbearable.

It is in such a dark hour that Mia meets Kyle. It immediately becomes clear that she will be the heart of their duo. Bubbly, always laughing, always knowing what to do and how to act, Mia seems to gradually pull Kyle out of the gloomy dead end of regret where he has successfully trapped himself. The heroine simply leaves him no choice, and reluctantly agreeing, Kyle sets off with her on his most vibrant and unusual journey.

The viewer is in for not just a road movie or a story about two teenagers and their contrived problems. On the contrary, each hero has their own unresolved situation from which there seems to be no way out. Meeting at point A, Mia and Kyle were truly two teenagers who barely knew how to live this life. Arriving at point B, each of them finally understands that they need to make their choice and move on without looking back.

Virginia Gardner very successfully portrays decisiveness in all matters except the most important one for her. And that is precisely why she meets Kyle — seemingly completely opposite in character, but in reality, just as lost in his own feelings. Meeting each other, they help each other find their true selves and, of course, grow up.

The wonderful landscapes of Spain, the bright sun, and the completely sincere emotions of Mia, who genuinely marvels and rejoices at everything she sees around her, make this film even more charming and endearing.

“See You on Venus” is quite capable of brightening up an evening and lifting your spirits. And undoubtedly, it will inspire thoughts of a spontaneous trip or at least make you admire the beautiful photos of colorful Spain a little more.
