The structure of the series 'Volunteer's Playlist' is simple—episodes are dedicated to individual stories of searching for missing people. Situations, circumstances, and conditions change, but one thing remains constant: the goal of finding the person alive.

At the same time, the viewer is immersed in the life of the team. The first episodes are devoted to getting to know the team members, the basic rules of searching, the laws and regulations of such a life. Like our hero, the viewer undergoes a kind of briefing on volunteer life.

Something like an exam for Yankovsky's character comes in the third episode. Several emotional stories with unpredictable endings intertwine here. At this moment, it becomes clear what role time plays in the searches.

Later, the focus shifts from the searches to the characters themselves. The narrative delves into their relationships and problems. And here, too, time is key. Sometimes a missed moment or an unanswered phone call can be of vital importance.

The Atmosphere of the Playlist

A large part of the atmosphere of the series 'Volunteer's Playlist' is created by the characters themselves. Different types and different behavior patterns of the characters make you watch episode after episode. It's always interesting to see what new thing Khrupkiy (Dmitry Chebotaryov) will come up with, whether Kukla (Mila Ershova) will finally reciprocate Shtapich's advances, or how Tatarka (Daria Rudenok) will get out of her relationship troubles.

Another important aspect of the atmosphere is the filming locations. During the search, the characters have to make their way through forests and swamps, knock on doors, and explore old houses in villages. Of course, most of the scenes are shot in the dark, but the nature scenes are also shot in a way that takes your breath away. In an instant, you feel a sense of peace, and at the same time, a fear of getting lost in this vastness.

'Volunteer's Playlist', true to its name, could not do without a vibrant musical component. Music here plays in the background, sounds in cafes, on the radio, songs are performed by the characters themselves in karaoke or in cafes where team meetings take place. Some compositions make you want to add them to your media library right away to listen to again later.

After the series, a strange aftertaste remains. To some extent, there is joy from the saved fates—of the characters and those they searched for. On the other hand, the feelings of pain and loss that the characters go through settle heavily. Time and again, the characters encounter indifference, stupidity, and fears.
