'Drops of God' picks up speed, and we finally learn the name of the winner of the first inheritance test.
Camille (Fleur Geffrier) has little time: the competition's first task must be completed in just a few days.
She turns to Luca (Diego Ribon) and his sommelier for help in identifying exactly which wine she was asked to guess in the first test. Issei (Tomohisa Yamashita) might already know the answer, but his family is doing everything possible to prevent him from taking part in the competition.

Different Kinds of Difficulties
The episode, titled 'The Duel,' begins with Issei closing his business. As we recall, his family forced him to do so. Issei meets with a reporter named Yurika Katase to make an official statement.
Issei tells the journalist that he is withdrawing from the competition to dedicate his life to the family business – Tomine Diamonds. Yurika is disappointed that Issei wasted her time. She asks him to reconsider, and for extra effect, calls the guy a 'coward.' Such are journalists these days.
Meanwhile, in France, Camille has 5 days left for training. She has rediscovered her taste buds and is trying every wine that comes to hand. The girl manages to identify more aromas of the mystery wine, including celery, but this doesn't help much in the final choice.
What is Lignage?
Thomas and his father discuss possible wines with celery aroma. Philippe recalls Lignage, which he thinks might be exactly what Camille sensed. They find out that the last known bottle of the drink was sold to a certain André for ten thousand euros.
Camille and Thomas go to this winemaker. After a brief conversation, André's son suggests that the girl might have tasted Lignage 1987.
Who is Lorenzo?
In Tokyo, Camille reunites with Luca. The competition is all over Japanese news. Luca introduces the girl to his nephew Lorenzo (Luca Terracchiano), who is studying to be a sommelier. Camille now has an idea of which wine was in the first test, but to be sure, she needs to taste it.
Luca tracks down a Lignage, but only from 1990, at one of his restaurants in Osaka. They plan to serve this bottle, worth 12 thousand euros, to a wealthy businessman named Matsubara. Lorenzo, accompanied by a girl named Miyabi, teaches Camille how to serve wine, but her father taught her how to do it when she was 8 years old. Quite an interesting skill for a child.
Is the Wine Guessed?
That evening, Camille serves the expensive bottle, and while Mr. Matsubara is distracted, she smells the wine. But this doesn't dispel her doubts. Camille needs to taste the drink to be sure. They wait until the end of the meal, and the girl drinks the last drops from the bottle. She concludes that this is not what she's looking for. She reports this to Thomas, who is in France, adding that she misses him.
Issei's grandfather pressures his daughter Honoka to finally convince the young man to withdraw from the competition. Honoka, in turn, asks her husband Hirokazu to talk to their son, so that he announces his renunciation of any claims to the inheritance. Issei realizes that wine is his life and continues to delay his official decision; later, he even shows up at the competition.
Thomas, like a knight in shining armor, flies to Camille to help her win the competition, which has only 48 hours left. Lorenzo and Miyabi suggest the girl try many different wines, but none of them fit. To take a break, they go to a karaoke bar, and Thomas has a sudden insight (maybe he's influenced by Lorenzo's piercing singing, who knows?!) – Camille smells not celery, but truffle.
This narrows their choice down to two possible wines, although the vintage (year) remains unclear. Issei and Camille go to Alexandre's home to complete the first round of the trial. The Japanese man drinks the wine and makes an instant decision. Camille needs more time; she sniffs and examines the drink, then tastes it.
Who Won the First Round of the Competition?
Camille chooses Chateau Cheval Blanc 1999 (just check how much such wine generally costs), but then hesitates and changes her answer to 2000. In the end, both contestants guessed the correct wine, but Issei chose 1999, and Camille chose 2000. Issei becomes the winner.
The results of the first test are announced in the news. Issei's grandfather is furious that his grandson ignored their requests and continued to participate. Honoka talks to Hirokazu on the phone, angry that her husband couldn't convince Issei to withdraw from the competition.
In the final minutes of the episode, Hirokazu, in a bar, asks for an envelope and puts his belongings into it, including his wedding ring. According to Japanese traditions, this means that Hirokazu is planning to commit suicide after enduring insults from his wife and son for a week; his son had previously reproached him for tolerating such treatment from his wife.
