The Series 'Pochka': Five of the Brightest Moments from the Debut Season

So, our heroine is alive and well. She has started a new life in Montenegro, but she is tormented by a completely new ailment – a feeling. But what exactly is this feeling? Guilt, love, duty? That's what we are about to find out in the second season.

In the first episode, we learn that Mikhail's mother, who gave Natasha the life-saving organ, does not survive the surgery. Our heroine continues to live on, searching for her place in a new world, but she is occasionally visited by visions.

Only Mikhail gives Natalia's life meaning. She realizes that, despite everything, she must help him get through the surgery. There's just one 'but' – Mikhail refuses to have the surgery abroad and will wait his turn... after 70 people.

Natasha decides on a desperate act – to get kidneys for everyone! That is what the second season of the series 'Pochka' is all about.

What's New?

From the very first minutes of the new season, 'Pochka' immerses viewers in sunny Montenegro, and it already seems that all the action will unfold in this country. But no. Natasha is heading to Moscow, and with the move comes a sharp shift in mood.

The heroine played by Lyubov Aksyonova also changes. Not only externally, but also in terms of character. In the first season, she was bold, a bit bitchy, and sometimes unscrupulous, but this season, all of that needs to be multiplied by two. From the very first episode, it's clear that she will go to the end to achieve her goal and will not shy away from any methods.

Pochka After the Credits

We also see that changes are happening not only in Natalia's life but also in her family's. For instance, her brother Sergei is living with their younger brother Vitalik, and we will clearly see major shifts in his story. Mikhail's life is also undergoing changes, and in the new season, we meet his wife. Natalia clearly didn't expect this, and it could jeopardize her plans.

What's Good and What's Not?

What's pleasing about the new season of 'Pochka'? Of course, the first episode doesn't give the full picture, but it already sets the atmosphere for a new round of Kustova's adventures. We still have the familiar sharp humor, we still have the brilliant Lyubov Aksyonova, and the scenes are now accompanied not only by classical music but also by 'classics' from the 2000s.

What might disappoint? The heroine's motives are still unclear, and it seems she acts spontaneously, selfishly, and throughout the entire episode, you want to ask: 'Why are you doing this?'. The almost complete absence of Irina Rozanova is also a fly in the ointment. In the first season, her scenes were bright and memorable, albeit few, but here there is only one so far.

What to Expect Next?

It's gratifying that the project has returned, but it's still unclear how it will develop further. The setup suggests and creates a foundation for good character development through the many stories of other people in difficult situations. We hope the screenwriters will take this path, Natasha will find her future, and the series won't turn into the heroine's attempts to win Mikhail's favor.

Which path the creators of the series will choose, we will only find out at the end of the season, but for now, we watch the first episode on March 8 on the KION service.
