What is the series 'Pochka' about?

In the life of fire safety inspector Natalya Kustova, everything is fine — every inspection ends with a big payoff. The woman thinks everything in life can be bought: influential friends, an apartment, and even a handsome boyfriend. But her worldview changes drastically after a routine medical check-up, which reveals that Natalya urgently needs a healthy kidney for a transplant. She has three months to find a donor. Ironically, and by law, only a blood relative can donate a kidney to Natalya. But none of them are in a hurry to help her.

The creators approved Lyubov Aksyonova for the role without a screen test and got it right. She perfectly creates on screen both the image of a sharp-tongued inspector and a fragile girl in trouble who doesn't lose hope. Looking stunning in a red suit or a hospital gown, Natasha captivates the viewer's gaze, and the audience waits to see how she will react to the next twist of fate. The project's main feature is the emotional rollercoaster the viewer is on. Transitioning from comedy to drama, the series doesn't let you look away. Each episode has a runtime of 30 minutes, making you want to watch episode after episode, sighing at every peak of the narrative amplitude.

In her fight for life, Natasha decides on a desperate act — to have an illegal kidney transplant operation. But here too, fate throws her a surprise. Right during her operation, a raid begins on the clinic, and the heroine barely manages to escape. All this happens to classical music.

Family Boat Trip (Episode 7)

Trying to find an organ for transplant, Natasha goes in search of her father. He has long had his own life and family. Thanks to Natasha, he gets the chance to see his older children again. The reunion takes place on a boat. The scene brings a smile, not only because of the song 'I love you to tears' but also from the understanding that the characters are truly happy in this moment.

Return of the Apartment (Episode 8)

Natasha's sister, Elena, has been unable to get ownership of an apartment in a new building for a long time. Natasha, having lost hope of recovery, decides to simply help her sister. To do this, she uses all her skills as a fire inspector.

Purification Ritual (Episode 9)

Elena remembers that as a child, she might have cast an evil eye on Natasha. This explains her kidney disease so conveniently. To help her sister, she decides to undergo surgery and become a donor. But she can't do it due to health reasons. In that case, the evil eye must be removed! One of the most hilarious scenes in the series.

The Concert (Episode 10)

In the final episode, we become part of a concert by musician Mikhail. The main character of the series 'Pochka' meets him during her treatment, and he supports her in every way. After all, he has been battling kidney disease for a long time. The scene is emotionally powerful, as for Natasha it is a sign that despite all the hardships, you can live on and do what you love.
