Let's remember and discuss what we saw in the sixth episode of the season of 'Dexter: New Blood'.
The tension in the last episode reached its peak. Dexter was at risk of being exposed, and his son Harrison not only began to show dark tendencies but also attracted the attention of local serial killer Kurt. The previous episode raised the bar, and its follow-up doesn't lag behind — we learn even more about Harrison, and Dexter himself seems close to returning to his usual nocturnal activities. But let's go through everything in order in our new recap.

No More Secrets… Almost
Police Chief Angela learned that her beloved Jim is actually not Jim Lindsay at all, but Dexter Morgan, a former Miami police forensics analyst. She takes the protagonist to the station, where she tries to find out why he lied to her all this time.
Dexter has been backed into a corner more than once, but he always finds a way to get off scot-free. This time it works too. Well, not entirely. Angela leaves him, despite his tearful story about the deaths of his wife and sister, losing Harrison, and all that dark past. Of course, Dexter keeps quiet about his murders, so he remains free. Because 'faking your own death is not a crime.'
Having dealt with the 'Dexter issue,' Angela returned to investigating the Matt Caldwell case. She (reasonably) assumes that Kurt deliberately stopped the search for his son and lied that he was alive. And the only unexplored sector in the Iron Lake woods — an abandoned mine — could be where Kurt hid his son's body. We know that's not the case. But we also know that Kurt regularly kills girls. Which means the victims' bodies are stored somewhere. So why not in the mine?
Who's to Blame?
Meanwhile, Dexter tries to find out who could have revealed his identity to Angela. And quite logically, his suspicions fall on the visiting podcast star Molly Park, with whom his ex has recently become noticeably close. To test his hypothesis, he first listens to her podcasts, particularly the episode about the Bay Harbor Butcher (who is not Doakes, as everyone thinks, but Dexter himself). Her suspicions voiced during the show only strengthen the protagonist's belief in Molly's involvement in his exposure.
Then Dexter learns that she plans to talk to Kurt at his cafe. Arriving at the scene, he 'accidentally' leaves his mobile phone near them. From the recording he obtains, he finds out that Molly is interested in the Matt case, not Dexter.
Dexter on the Warpath
At the same time, Dexter tries to 'reconnect' with Harrison. First, he flies into a rage when he learns that Harrison plans to work for Kurt. Then he goes with him to a therapy session, where he says nothing about his past, greatly upsetting his son.
Harrison can't bring himself to trust Dex, but he opens up to Audrey (Angela's adopted daughter). He confesses to the girl that he wants to and enjoys hurting other people. In response, she shares her own experiences of losing her mother and father. And they have sex. Oh, these teenagers.
Kurt supports Harrison in every way and even comes to cheer him on at a wrestling competition, where Dex barely makes it. During the tournament, the boy gives in to his dark inclinations and deliberately breaks his opponent's arm. Even after that, Kurt sides with Harrison.
Later, Kurt invites Molly Park to his home to introduce her to Matt, but the girl begins to suspect something is wrong. Luckily for her, Dexter decided to follow the old man, and then, pretending he saw someone in the house, joins the group on the way to Matt.
The boy is not at home (naturally), but Dex notices the main thing — a camera and a door that only locks from the outside. Now he understands that Kurt is indeed the serial killer. And Molly thanks her unexpected savior, saying she was already sure she would become the 'heroine' of her own podcast.
And to top it all off, Angela calls her ex-lover and says that now she needs not Jim Lindsay, but Dexter Morgan. The thing is, in that same abandoned mine, she found the body of her long-lost friend.
The denouement is getting closer, the pieces are set on the board, and it seems that the next move is Dexter's. But it's not all obvious. Harrison's growing attachment to Kurt, increasing by leaps and bounds, could play a significant role in the upcoming events. And perhaps Dexter faces another difficult decision. Perhaps the hardest of his life. We eagerly await the next episode.
