While the film, Daniel Craig's swan song in the legendary role of Agent 007, is in theaters, the team and I decided to pay tribute to the entire era of the actor in the Bond franchise and recall its brightest and most memorable episodes.

Poisoning («Casino Royale»)

The most memorable scene with Daniel Craig's Bond is the episode of his poisoning in «Casino Royale». He manages to avoid death, of course, at the last moment and thanks to Vesper. How many such scenes have we seen in movies? 

Much more interesting is Bond's reaction when he is told he needs to go to the hospital. Instead, he returns to the poker table. Not only to finish the job he started, but also to laugh in the villain's face. Like, «Look, I'm alive, and I'm going to fleece you for everything you've got.» A short and clichéd scene, but one that says a lot about the character's personality.

«The Fall of the Knight» («Skyfall»)

The British knight fell from heaven to earth. James Bond has aged, and with him, all of Britain has aged. The modern world not only shattered the inner world of the agent, who lost his friends after the explosion in the secret service's lair, but also brought him back to his native land. The sunny beaches with beautiful girls were replaced by foggy and rainy London. However, the goal remained unchanged: to save everyone who needs help, especially when it comes to the whole world. 

A long-awaited return to the past to confront a future that will always strive forward.  The Scottish house with a dungeon — the agent's place of power, a labyrinth of his soul and consciousness. Everything was supposed to come to an end here. Bond's war was long over, a new time had come, where there was no place for 007. Death, lingering for ten years, to bury Bond even deeper in the grave.  At the hour when the gears had already stopped, the god would have to descend again.

Day of the Dead («Spectre»)

The four-minute scene of the carnival of death in Mexico was memorable not only for the residents of that city, who, by the way, repeated this parade a year later, but also for Bond fans. The main feature was the effect of a long take, the editing, the camera's pursuit of the hero all the way to his exit onto the roof, where he shoots a rifle. Many compared this scene to the New York walk in «Birdman», but on a larger scale. Movie fans love the theme of bright, colorful, and spectacular carnivals. And if you add a chase, terrorists, and explosions to that, you get a whole combo.

The filming of the episode was even discussed separately in a video by Sam Mendes, which showed the costume design, art direction, and noted that all the preparation for a single episode took about six months.

The First Meeting of Bond and Raoul Silva («Skyfall»)

This meeting could have been completely different. We understand perfectly well that the appearance of the main villain can become one of the most tense and memorable moments in a film. He can appear from the darkness, in clouds of smoke, to rousing music. Or he can calmly enter a room, sit down opposite the main character, tied to a chair and knowing nothing about the situation, and begin a dialogue with him. That is exactly how in the second half of «Skyfall» we meet Raoul Silva played by Javier Bardem. 

In this scene, Bond seems to come face to face with himself. They are both MI6 agents, they know how to read an opponent. James seems to find himself in front of a mirror and sees his reflection. But only the alter ego knows much more, and Bond simply doesn't understand how to navigate the situation. It is at this moment that we see Bond weak. 

After the film's release, this scene became one of the most discussed due to the hint of the possibility of a homosexual relationship for Agent 007. According to Craig, this scene is filled with flirtation. Bardem claimed that Silva's orientation was an intrigue and an advantage for his character. American producer Barbara Broccoli said that the episode was intended to be removed, as studio executives did not appreciate it, but the film's creators defended this scene.

It is also worth noting that in our dubbing, the phrase «Oh, Mr. Bond!» sounds particularly intriguing performed by Oleg Chernov.

Vesper's Death («Casino Royale»)

With the arrival of Daniel Craig in the Bond franchise, Agent 007 became different: less masculine, more vulnerable and fragile. His attitude towards his companions also changed (at least initially). In «Casino Royale», Vesper Lynd, played by , was no longer just a girl for one night mission, but a person Bond trusted. A person whom the unflappable spy managed to love despite all circumstances. All the more tragic and emotional was the scene of Vesper's death.
