A day after the teaser trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home leaked online, Sony has released the official version of the video. And it truly turned out to be epic.

What about the plot

Spider-Man's identity is exposed. Now Peter Parker (Tom Holland) has to explain himself to the police, fend off questions from classmates, and his potential enemies know who he is and where to find him. Since this is a heavy burden for a young guy, he turns to Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) for help, asking him to make the whole world forget his identity. But the spell affects reality and opens pathways to the multiverse. We have already become acquainted with it in the series Loki.

Rumors confirmed

For months, there were rumors online that characters from Sam Raimi's trilogy would appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and now they are finally officially confirmed. The film will definitely feature Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus, and apparently Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin. If leaks are to be believed, we will also see Electro played by Jamie Foxx from the duology featuring Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man. Garfield himself, as well as Tobey Maguire, have not been shown yet, so whether they will appear in the movie remains a mystery.

Fans also speculate that Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, will play an active role in the story. This is confirmed by well-known insider Daniel Richtman. Whether Charlie Cox will play him is still unknown.

When is the film releasing

Barring any force majeure, Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit Russian theaters on December 16. The director is again Jon Watts, who helmed the first two films with Tom Holland. As for the cast, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, and Benedict Wong are definitely returning to the project.
