Another popular series, this time Spanish, returns to the screen. Viewers can expect intrigue, a storm of passions, a new detective storyline, and new characters. And, most likely, as a gift for all fans before the season's release, collections of short films with already familiar characters are being released. According to the plot, their action takes place between the seasons. The main series has already been renewed for the next season, with almost the entire cast refreshed.

Sweet Tooth: The Boy with Antlers

Premiere: June 4

A new adventure series executive produced by Robert Downey Jr. It's being compared online to a cross between «Bambi» and «The Walking Dead.» And there's plenty to discuss.

First, the series has a cool source material: a DC Comics title for a more adult audience. Why? Blood, severed heads, from the creator of «V for Vendetta.»

The action takes place across post-apocalyptic America: a virus called H5-G9 has wiped out most of the planet's population, leading not only to the complete disappearance of civilized society and widespread chaos. The surviving women suddenly began giving birth exclusively to hybrid children—half human, half animal.

The series' plot follows a boy with antlers trying to survive in these conditions. But Netflix chose a different approach for its adaptation—making a sweet family drama. The adaptation is very pleasant, measured, heartfelt, and cozy. Like a fairy tale. Some might say the streaming service is at it again, trying to please everyone. But in reality, this departure from the source material didn't make the story worse; it just made it different. Plus, it's nice to see the apocalypse through different eyes.

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal

Premiere: June 3

Sailor Moon Eternal is an adaptation of the fourth arc of the manga, titled «Dead Moon,» released as two feature-length films and a continuation of the anime series «Sailor Moon Crystal.» The new adaptation was directed by Chiaki Kon, and the character design was handled by original series designer Kazuko Tadano. In the plot, Usagi and her friends will gather again to save the world from dark forces. The film is currently in the top 10 in over 30 countries. You can read a review from a big Sailor Moon fan .

Kevin Hart, in another amusing comedy, shows how a father raises his little daughter on his own and the joys of fatherhood he encounters. Hart also served as a producer on the film. The plot is based on a book and a true story. It should be sweet, instructive, and suitable for family viewing.

After the success of «Bird Box» with Sandra Bullock, Netflix has been releasing a new apocalypse film about once a year, but nothing even close to that level of quality has emerged. And «Awake» doesn't break this trend, despite a promising premise…

In the plot, people lose the ability to sleep. A former soldier with a difficult past tries to save her family as the world descends into chaos.

Katla

Premiere: June 17

Science fiction straight from the vast, stunning landscapes of Iceland. Also a horror-thriller. So far, it resembles the atmosphere of the German hit series «Dark.»

Here's how the plot unfolds. A catastrophic eruption of the subglacial volcano Katla turns the lives of local residents upside down. It turns out the ice concealed many mysterious secrets.

Interestingly, Katla is a real volcano in Iceland. It erupts every 40-80 years. In 882 AD, Katla erupted so violently that winter in Europe lasted three years.

The Ice Road

Premiere: June 25

This is not an original film from the streaming platform, but Netflix bought the rights to show it in the US. In the rest of the world, it will be released in theaters.

Liam Neeson once again saves the world and people. The story centers on a truck driver specializing in transport on winter ice roads. When a diamond mine collapses in northern Canada, the hero faces a difficult task: he must transport a rescue expedition across a frozen lake in the shortest possible time to help miners trapped underground. The film also stars Laurence Fishburne and Holt McCallany.

Premiere: June 25

A series for a more adult Netflix audience that delves deeper into the relationship between a woman and a man, focusing on the problems of marriage and choice. 

At the center of the plot is a love triangle where a seemingly happy mother has not only a husband but also a lover from the past. She sets out to find that sexual, single girl in the city she was ten years ago.
