"Sexify" awaits all fans of Sex Education, Bonding, and Netflix in general.

At the end of April, a new Polish series with the provocative title "Sexify" (yes, like Spotify, but about sex) appeared on Netflix. In it, three friends try to create an app to help women achieve orgasm. Read our review to find out why this funny show deserves a chance.

Everyone Thinks About It

Diligent student Natalia (Aleksandra Skraba) is trying to come up with a science project topic for a national startup competition. She settles on sex (because everyone thinks about it), specifically the female orgasm, since there isn't much information or mobile apps on this topic. The only problem is that Natalia is great at programming but knows nothing about sex. To realize her idea, she asks for help from her friend Paulina (Maria Sobocińska) and her wild neighbor Monika (Sandra Drzymalska).

According to the amusing premise, the series "Sexify" discusses things so frank that they were previously not talked about, in a light and humorous way. But after another Netflix hit, "Sex Education," teenage sex is no longer a taboo topic, and that's right. "Sexify" goes further and talks not only about interpersonal relationships and sexual contacts but also about the subtle nuances of knowing one's own body and sexuality.

Say a Word About Female Friendship

First and foremost, "Sexify" is a series about self-discovery and personal development through the lens of sexual self-knowledge. But this is far from the only theme raised by the show's creators,
Piotr Domalewski and Kalina Alabrudzińska. They are equally interested in issues of female friendship, even a kind of sisterhood. The heroines learn new things together, overcome difficulties, argue, support each other in tough times, and become full-fledged individuals.

And It's Also Very Funny

Time and again, the characters end up in the most unexpected places, where comical situations befall them. Sometimes they visit a sex shop in search of the perfect universal dildo, sometimes they 3D-print one themselves, sometimes they end up at an exhibition of sexual entertainment under the symbolic name SEXPO, and so on. All of this is accompanied by good situational humor and equally comical sound and visuals. Honestly, it's hard to recall another series where sound plays such an important role in the humor.

Is It Worth Watching the Series "Sexify"?

Netflix continues the successful trend of creating light and dynamic series about sex (besides Sex Education, the show Bonding about BDSM culture has gained some fame), and "Sexify" fits perfectly into it. It's a simple story that articulates simple but very important things for the younger generation, accompanied by funny situations and likable characters. So the show is great for a couple of evenings of relaxed viewing.
