Zack Snyder storms Netflix, legendary robots return, and Ryan Murphy promises to surprise again. New shows and continuations of already beloved series in May.

Jupiter's Legacy

Premiere: May 7

This month on Netflix, we have the adaptation of the superhero comic Mark Millar's 'Jupiter's Legacy'. How many more superhero shows can television handle? We'll find out from Josh Duhamel and other actors who try to raise their children into the next generation of perfect heroes. But their expectations and list of demands are too high, and the kids only cause trouble. The series is interesting because among the showrunners are the creators of 'Pacific Rim'. They say to expect a lot of fire, overturned cars, and a destroyed city.

Oxygen

Premiere: May 12

'Oxygen' is a new French thriller mixed with something from the realm of science fiction. The lead role is played by actress from 'Inglourious Basterds' and 'Now You See Me', Mélanie Laurent. Work on the film began back in 2017, when Anne Hathaway wanted to be a producer. The story unfolds somewhere on a ship, or more precisely in a cryogenic capsule. A girl who has lost her memory wakes up and tries to figure out how to survive when oxygen is running out.

Love, Death & Robots

Premiere: May 14

The animated anthology that won hearts and an Emmy award returns. Once again we'll dive into the future, look at robots and various animation styles. David Fincher and Tim Miller promise 8 exciting episodes from new directors, including the creator of 'Deadpool'. Let's see if season 2 can raise the bar even higher.

The Woman in the Window

Premiere: May 14

A crime thriller with Amy Adams and Julianne Moore. The cast already inspires confidence and promises something dramatic. It all starts with the meeting of two neighbors, including a girl with agoraphobia. And one of them is convinced she saw the other attacked with a knife. Contacting the police yields nothing, and the friend's husband turns out not to be her husband at all. The heroine's doctor says she made it up, but Anna herself is sure it's not a hallucination. The fate of the project is still in question, as the film's producer Scott Rudin has already been involved in a Hollywood scandal related to abuse and cruelty.

Halston

Premiere: May 14

A new series from Ryan Murphy, which promises to make everyone fall in love with fashion. The story centers around legendary designer Roy Halston. He was friends with Andy Warhol and Yves Saint Laurent, dressed Elizabeth Taylor, and made the whole world follow American fashion. The backstory and foundation for the series are very powerful and promising. Moreover, the themes of the past perfectly fit the current agenda. Halston was the first designer to 'champion' diversity, for movie stars on the runway and African American models. The designer was the embodiment of the nightlife, art, and freedom of New York. The lead role is played by Ewan McGregor. We have no doubt the show will be stylish and colorful.

Army of the Dead

Premiere: May 21

Zack Snyder is now on Netflix too. Looks like a typical zombie action flick set in the beautiful city of Las Vegas. But the film's main character, Dave Bautista, realizes that something is clearly wrong with these zombies. And in the quarantine zone, it won't be so easy to earn $200 million before they drop a nuclear bomb there.

Lucifer

Premiere: May 28

The fan-favorite series about Lucifer is coming to an end. Now God himself will intervene in the story, deciding to mend his relationship with his children. The archangel brothers are not very willing to give up the vacant spot to each other. The most charming devil in the person of Tom Ellis will return to the screen for the last time.
