'Brassic' in its third season will bring a host of surprises, including the kidnapping of a real horse!

The British comedy series Brassic almost instantly became a hit both at home, where it airs on Sky, and far beyond its borders. In Russia, for example. On Kinopoisk, the show holds a prestigious 24th place (at the time of writing) in the Top 250 best series and is rightfully considered one of the audience's favorites over the past couple of years.

Currently, the series has wrapped up two seasons, but the creators have no intention of stopping there, so the release of Season 3 is just around the corner. Especially for you, we've gathered all the available information on the internet about the continuation of the adventures of Vinnie, Erin, Dylan, and their friends, and we're eager to share it. But let's start with the main thing — a brief story about why this show is so popular and why you should watch it if you haven't already.

Warning: this article contains spoilers for the first two seasons of the series

Why You Should Watch 'Brassic'

'Brassic' is a crime-comedy story about not-too-bright but very enterprising British lads who make a living through theft, underground fights, and other equally illegal and dangerous activities.

The series premiered in 2019 on the British channel Sky. It was created by Joseph Gilgun (beloved by many for the series 'Misfits' and 'Preacher') and Daniel Brocklehurst (a writer for 'Shameless'). Gilgun also plays the central character, Vinnie, who suffers from bipolar disorder, which sometimes leads him to come up with the craziest ideas that he then drags his friends into.

Interestingly, the creators and producers of the show were so confident in its success that they renewed the series for a second season even before it premiered. And, as time has shown, they didn't miscalculate. 'Brassic' broke several records among Sky's original projects, received good press, and even earned a nomination for a BAFTA TV Award for Writing.

What's the secret? The series incorporates the best elements from early Guy Ritchie films and projects like the aforementioned 'Misfits', as well as the show 'This Is England', while remaining completely original. It features colorful characters (from a strip club owner who loves to sing at home to a single mother trying to escape this routine), absurd black humor without any boundaries, dynamic storytelling, and most importantly — the series has a soul. So even when a musical number suddenly breaks out on screen, it brings a smile to the viewer's face rather than a feeling of awkwardness.

In Russia, it's customary to watch 'Brassic' with the voiceover by 'Kubik v Kube', which only adds extra charm to the project. Ruslan and Olga masterfully incorporate extravagant words and sometimes make what's happening on screen funnier than it actually is.

Release Date of Season 3

The release of Season 3 of 'Brassic' is scheduled for 2021, but the creators have not yet announced an exact date. The continuation was supposed to start earlier, but filming only began in October 2020 (instead of August) for obvious 'COVID' reasons. According to forecasts, Season 3 will air closer to mid-2021.

What to Expect from the Plot of Season 3

The second season ended with a powerful cliffhanger — Vinnie's arrest. Obviously, part of the plot will touch on Joseph Gilgun's character's life behind bars. Given his difficult personality, this imprisonment will by no means be easy.

As Sky representatives state, the new season will bring a host of surprises, showing the characters' clashes with the police and the mafia, even crazier and bigger crimes, including the kidnapping of a real horse (a pony in the past!). Additionally, it's known that we can now expect not 6, but a full 8 episodes.

It's logical to assume that besides this, the writers will continue to develop the Vinnie/Erin/Dylan love triangle storyline, as there are still many dots to be connected. And fans are fond of this direction as well.
