The creators of the series 'WandaVision' took a dangerous path. They unconsciously (perhaps) bombarded fans with theories, Easter eggs, phrases, and hints, which, naturally, everyone reacted to wildly. The Marvel fandom is huge, and it's interesting that it's also divided into those who read the comics and those who only watched the movies. We shouldn't forget that the Marvel series were planned to alternate with or continue into full-length films. This means the creators could easily have written a storyline spanning several projects at once to attract even more viewers and make everyone watch. For example, we all know that Doctor Strange will be about something involving the multiverse. And 'WandaVision' just prepared the ground for that. It all comes down to the theme of expectations — will the fans' theories be shattered, or did the creators not even imply a different outcome?

I always hold the opinion that you need to relax and enjoy the conclusion of a really cool project and a new successful format for Marvel. But I perfectly understand that most will simply be dissatisfied with the finale, because the bar has been raised to incredible heights. And the episode simply physically cannot (if you can say that) answer all the questions that fans still have: it runs for even less than 60 minutes.

My advice: clear your head of expectations and theories. That's exactly why we'll discuss all the remaining questions about the series together. I've gathered only the most important and burning ones.

There Is No Secret Cameo

Let's start with what everyone has been discussing online all week. Paul Bettany carelessly let slip about a mysterious cameo of a cool character he would like to play with. After that, the fans' theories were impossible to stop. But a few days ago, the director added fuel to the fire by telling Paul to get himself out of the situation. This immediately raised suspicion, because surely there is no secret character. And today Paul Bettany himself said that he meant himself. Quite the twist. But maybe there is hope and it's all a big deception? It seems we are already going crazy from these theories.

Is Agatha Evil?

We understood that Agatha has a terrible and dark past. She was always interested in dark and powerful magic, and that's what drew her to Westview, led by Wanda. She desperately tries to uncover her secret and understand how someone like Wanda can possess such power. Perhaps she will try to absorb her magic, as she did with the coven. Or maybe she will ask for a favor. The ultimate motive for her actions is still in question.

Is Wanda a Mutant?

When Disney acquired 21st Century Fox in 2019, Marvel Studios finally got the rights to the 'X-Men' film. And the eighth episode wonderfully confirmed the main fan theory since 'Age of Ultron': Wanda possessed some power even before the Hydra experiment. Agatha almost explicitly said that Wanda herself solved the bomb problem. And, perhaps, Wanda herself gave her brother Pietro abilities in childhood. Or maybe he was also a mutant.

The second theory is that she is not a mutant, but simply a witch. Moreover, one of the most powerful in the universe. And we can also congratulate Marvel on officially introducing magic into the films.

Are the Twins Real?

We know that the children were created through magical pregnancy and have their own superpowers. But what is the nature of these characters? Are they real people? Or is it just an upgraded illusion.

What About Vision?

The last episode revealed several answers about Vision at once, but not all. We learned that Hayward deceived everyone around, and Wanda recreated Vision's body using magic. How real is he? We saw him disintegrate when he left the boundaries of Westview. And after the appearance of a second Vision in white (praise the comics), the question arose: how much of the real one remains in him, and can they somehow merge into one sentient Vision with his own body?

The biggest blow to our hearts will be another farewell to this character. Imagine if both Visions die (again). Or imagine how a cool (by comic standards) character is brought back into the cinematic universe.

Will There Be Another Villain?

Fans still can't shake the feeling or the obsessive thought that another villain might appear in the finale. What if he is simply shown in a post-credits scene?

Even after the journey into the past, we are not sure about everything Wanda says. It turned out that she can block her memories/events and alter them. This happened with the Stark bomb episode. And before that, Wanda claimed she didn't understand what was happening and that many events were not her doing. But it's still unclear whether Wanda fully controls the entire town. Or if someone else has entered the game and is manipulating all the players?

Who Is Fietro?

But it's worth remembering that all these theories took on new colors when the mysterious hero in the form of Evan Peters appeared. Most fans lean towards the option that this is really Quicksilver from the X-Men universe. Which, in my opinion, has no basis in fact other than using the actor's face. Some call him Mephisto, Nightmare, and other creepy characters. Agatha called him Fietro. And it seemed like it was just a joke on Marvel fans, who were racking their brains over his identity, when all along he was just an ordinary supporting character. Perhaps we'll find out something in the finale.

What Will Happen to Hayward?

Did you also see the theories after episode 8 that Hayward is Mephisto? It seems to me that any suspicious character could potentially fall into the 'It's all Mephisto' category. But let's imagine, what if there is no Mephisto? And it's too early to introduce him into the universe. But that doesn't make Hayward's character any clearer.

For what purpose did he recreate Vision, and most importantly, why did he lie about stealing his body? He wants to turn Vision into a weapon and portray Wanda as a terrorist. What's the point of that, and why kill her? And now the question arises: what does the 'Cataract' project actually mean?

Who Is the Mysterious Witness?

Remember where the whole story began? FBI agent Jimmy Woo arrived on a call about one of the people from the witness protection program being unreachable. We also know that it's a 'he'. And there has been no more information about him. Either it's just a way to introduce agent Jimmy Woo into the game, which won't be explained. Or we'll see him in the finale.

Does Ralph Exist?

Throughout the series, we hear stories about Agatha's husband. We hear about him, but we don't see him. So who is the witch referring to? Maybe she named her rabbit that.

Who Is the Mysterious Engineer?

And again, the fans were thrown a bone that everyone rushed to. Just a mention of an 'aerospace engineer' exploded social media with a multitude of theories. Here they remembered Captain Marvel, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men. But what if it was just a phrase and just a word. And there is no mysterious meaning behind it. And the secret agent is just an old work friend. Disappointing, but quite possible.

Why Did They Show Us the Book?

In the witch Agatha's creepy dungeon, an interesting, clearly magical book is stored. And the focused attention on it indicates that the object is significant. In the Marvel universe, there are many magical books, and most are not particularly pleasant. Perhaps we will see this book in the Doctor Strange movie, and here it will remain just as an Easter egg for future projects.

Will There Be a Doctor Strange Cameo?

Given the connection between Wanda and Doctor Strange, hinted at by Elizabeth Olsen's confirmed role in the film 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness', Strange's own presence would make a lot of sense.

His role on Earth is to protect against magical and mystical threats, so the fact that he still hasn't appeared in Westview is a big question. Perhaps he will simply appear in a post-credits scene, hinting at the continuation of the story.
