Recalling and discussing what we saw in the third episode of the horror series 'Lovecraft Country'.
In the third episode of the series 'Lovecraft Country', it's as if everything that happened before was forgotten, and the focus shifted from monsters to ghosts. Surprisingly, the show's strange structure doesn't repel but allows you to empathize with the characters and their adventures. So, what were Tic and Leti, who briefly took center stage, about to experience in the new episode?

Warning: the following text contains spoilers for the first episodes of the series 'Lovecraft Country'
New Home, New Life
The characters, having survived the encounter with the Sons of Adam cult, try to settle down and return to a more normal life without supernatural nonsense. Tic and Leti told relatives and acquaintances that Uncle George was killed by a rogue cop whom they, along with the father who had shown up, 'dealt with.' This explanation seemed to satisfy everyone, meaning life should go on as usual.
Suddenly wealthy Leti (it later turns out the money came from her mother's inheritance) buys an entire mansion and invites her sister and other Black brothers to live there. The neighbors are not happy with the new residents and show their displeasure in various ways. For example, they tie bricks to car horns so the unpleasant sound gets on Leti and her friends' nerves.
But the unfriendly neighbors turn out to be the least of the problems Letisha has to face.
Not Only Monsters, But Also Ghosts
If in the previous ordeal Leti and Tic had the pleasure of meeting bloodthirsty monsters, this time it was the turn of no less malevolent ghosts. The thing is, Leti initially didn't clarify the history of the house, where, as it turned out, a mad scientist had conducted experiments on people. After doing some research, the girl learned that, according to some reports, bodies had once been found in this building, and several more people had gone missing in the surrounding area.
It must be admitted that Leti found out about what happened under rather unpleasant circumstances. To celebrate the housewarming, the girl decided to throw a party, during which a whole series of interesting events occurred:
- Leti lost her virginity to Tic;
- In the yard, neighbors burned a cross;
- Leti smashed several honking cars;
- The girl was arrested, and while being taken to the station, she learned from the cop about the Black people who had gone missing in her house.
Letisha had noticed strange things happening in the house before and had even called Tic for help, but now she had every reason to be truly worried. In the basement, she discovers photos of the experiment victims and also encounters the ghost of that very mad scientist.
Leti tells Tic everything and then invites him to participate in a ritual involving a local woman who is either a shaman or a medium. Knowing the peculiarities of the series 'Lovecraft Country', one could assume that nothing good would come of this idea.
Battle of Ghosts, Deaths, and a Happy Ending
During the ritual, the evil ghost kills the medium and possesses Tic. At the same time, neighbors, clearly up to no good, break into the house but die one by one under mysterious circumstances.
When it seemed that nothing could save Leti, the ghosts of the professor's victims come to her aid, joining forces and driving their tormentor out of the house.
What's Next?
With each new episode, 'Lovecraft Country' surprises more and more. For this reason, it's quite difficult to speculate about what lies ahead. One thing is clear: Christina, Tic's old acquaintance from the previous adventure, hasn't had the last word yet.
When Tic tried to kill the girl, she used her charms and also made it clear that their shared story was not over yet.
