The first full-length trailer for the blockbuster Oleg Trofim's 'Major Grom: Plague Doctor' has debuted online. It is an adaptation of domestic comics that enjoy considerable popularity.

Earlier, the Bubble studio, responsible for publishing the comics, tested the waters by making an intriguing short film featuring Major Grom, which was warmly received by audiences. Encouraged by this success, the creators decided to shoot a full-length feature, with its premiere scheduled for 2021.

What the story is about

At the center of the plot of the film 'Major Grom: Plague Doctor' is St. Petersburg police officer Igor Grom, who must confront the mysterious Plague Doctor. The antagonist decides to dispense justice on his own to cleanse the city of the plague of lawlessness.

The plot is based on the comics about Major Grom by the Bubble studio, the largest publisher of original comics in Russia. Since 2011, over 100 issues about the adventures of Igor Grom have been released, with a total print run of over 1 million copies. This indicates that the character is familiar to a wide audience and certainly does not lack a fan base.

Who will star in the film 'Major Grom: Plague Doctor'

The lead role in the film will be played by Tikhon Zhiznevsky, known to audiences from the dilogy 'On the Game'. He will be joined by the unmistakable Lyubov Aksyonova, as well as Alexei Shmatko Maklakov.
