Dirty John: The Betty Broderick Story

Premiere Date: June 2

In 2018, USA Network debuted a screen adaptation of the Los Angeles Times crime podcast about a con man seducing a wealthy woman. The lead roles were played by Eric Bana and Connie Britton. At the beginning of summer, a new season of the project is released, which has transformed into an anthology, meaning it will focus on other characters.

The story will center on Betty Broderick (Amanda Peet), accused of murdering her ex-husband (played by Christian Slater) and his new flame.

Love, Victor

Premiere Date: June 19

On June 19, Hulu will release a kind of spin-off of the novel "Love, Simon," which was previously adapted by Greg Berlanti. Originally, this show was planned for release on Disney+, but since it directly addresses LGBT issues, the Mouse House bosses deemed it not quite suitable for a "family" label. For this reason, the series moved to Hulu, which has no such content restrictions.

The plot follows a teenager named Victor (Michael Cimino), who transfers to a new school and simultaneously tries to figure out his own sexuality and orientation.

NOS4A2

At the end of June, AMC will launch the continuation of the series "NOS4A2," an adaptation of the works of Stephen King's son, Joe Hill.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

The first of a whole string of new superhero series within the Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to launch this summer. Since production is gradually returning to normal, we have every right to hope for a favorable outcome and a speedy premiere of the new title.

As evident from the title, the focus will be on characters played by Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, who will join forces to fight evil.

Lovecraft Country

Premiere Date: August

HBO will mark this summer with another major project by Jordan Peele, who continues his steady expansion into American TV and streaming platforms.

The new horror series is an adaptation of Matt Ruff's novel of the same name, which tells the story of a young man (Jonathan Majors), his childhood friend, and his uncle traveling through the southern states in the 1950s in search of his lost father. Along the way, the characters face racism and real monsters inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

Soulmates

Premiere Date: August

On AMC, a new anthology project is expected to launch towards the end of summer, which can be described as a mix of "Black Mirror" and "Modern Love." This series is notable for the name of its creator, William Bridges, one of the co-writers of that very "Black Mirror," and for featuring actors such as Charlie Heaton and Malin Åkerman.
