In April, the third season of the popular show Killing Eve premiered, which tells the story of the complicated relationship between international professional assassin Villanelle and British MI5 agent Eve. We have put together 5 more cool TV series for true fans of the hit work by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Bodyguard (2018)

The main thing that hooks you in the series 'Killing Eve' is the insane chemistry between the main characters. The characters of another British show called 'Bodyguard' can boast something similar. Here, bodyguard David (Richard Madden) is duty-bound to protect the British Home Secretary Julia Montague (Keeley Hawes) at the cost of his own life, a woman whose views the war veteran, to put it mildly, disagrees with.

What unites the two series is not only the dynamic plot and the physically palpable tension between the characters, but also the fact that in 2019 both projects were awarded Golden Globes: 'Killing Eve' for Best Actress in a Drama, and 'Bodyguard' for Best Actor in a Drama. At the same time, both lost to 'The Americans' in the main category.  

Barry (2018)

One of the central characters in Phoebe Waller-Bridge's series is a professional but eccentric killer, just like in the comedy show 'Barry', where Bill Hader takes on a similar role. His character even decides to end his career as a paid killer and become... an actor!

'Barry' became a true triumph of American cable television and one of the brightest comedies of recent years, so it's worth watching for both genre fans and all lovers of multi-episode projects.

The End of the F***ing World (2017-2019)

If there is a series in the world that can rival 'Killing Eve' in terms of madness, it is, of course, 'The End of the F***ing World'. At the center of this story, a self-proclaimed 17-year-old psychopath James (Alex Lawther) teams up with another eccentric individual named Alyssa (Jessica Barden) and sets off to find her father. And their adventures are no less thrilling and unpredictable!

Orange is the New Black (2013-2019)

Want a story about strong and independent women? Dreaming of seeing a series where sexual tension constantly arises between the characters? Can't find a story that skillfully blends notes of drama, black humor, and uplifting moments? Then watch 'Orange is the New Black'. You will find all the listed merits in abundance. And the project still has plenty to surprise you with, trust me.

Maniac (2018)

In the brainchild of director Cary Fukunaga, two strangers decide to participate in a trial of a new pharmaceutical drug. For Annie (Emma Stone), this step is driven by a desire to get over a broken relationship, while Owen (Jonah Hill) is trying to overcome schizophrenia. The new medicine is designed to cure any illness, but its side effects can be extremely unpredictable.

As in 'Killing Eve', at the center of this series is the complicated relationship between two extraordinary individuals. Additionally, there are comedic moments in seemingly the most inappropriate situations, and the world of 'Maniac' certainly doesn't lack an attractive strangeness.
