Fresh Office 365 with all the new features 2024-2025. No VPN. In 10 minutes 😎

Yesterday I wrote about Excel shortcuts. Ctrl+Shift+V, Focus Cell, all of this only works in Microsoft 365. On old Office 2016/2019 it's not there. And it won't be. Microsoft ended support on October 14, 2025.

But installing fresh Office in Russia is quite a quest 🤦‍♂️
Microsoft CDN is blocked, the standard installer requires command line and XML fiddling. Those who tried know.

I use Office Tool Plus. Free, open-source, with a graphical interface and digital signature.
Not an activator, not a virus. Just a convenient wrapper over the Microsoft installer.

Next, step-by-step installation instructions 👇

1. Download
Website: otp.landian.vip → Download → 64-bit version.
If the site doesn't open, go to GitHub: github.com/YerongAI/Office-Tool/releases → file Office_Tool_with_runtime (~77 MB). This version includes .NET runtime, runs immediately without additional installation.

2. Launch
Unzip, run Office Tool Plus.exe. The program is portable, no installation required.

3. Remove old Office (if needed)
Have a C2R version (Office 2016-2024 click-to-run)? OTP will update over it, settings will be preserved. But MSI version (Office 2010/2013 from .msi) — remove first. In OTP: section "Tools" → "Remove Office". Removes everything, including leftovers.

4. Configure product
Tab "Deployment". Block "Products" → "Add Product" → Microsoft 365 Apps for Enterprise.
Make sure the product has a Retail signature.

Need Visio or Project? Add separately, they are not included in 365.

5. Platform and language
64-bit for modern PCs. Set language to Russian. Want English spell check, add Proofing Tools separately.

6. Remove unnecessary
By default, everything is installed: Access, Publisher, Lync. Uncheck what you don't use. The less, the faster.

⚠️ 7. Change installation module ⚠️
This is the main pitfall. In settings, replace "Office Deployment Tool" with "Office Tool Plus". Without this, download in Russia will hang or give an error.

8. Update channel
"Current Channel" - new features come first.
Want stability - "Monthly Enterprise".

9. AcceptEULA
Enable the auto-accept license agreement checkbox. Otherwise, at first Word launch, a window "Accept the agreement" will appear and won't let you proceed.

10. Deploy
Click "Deploy". OTP will download and install itself. About 5-10 minutes depending on internet speed.

⚠️ 11. Activation via Ohook ⚠️
Office is installed but not activated. Open PowerShell as administrator (Win → "PowerShell" → right-click → "Run as administrator"). Enter:
irm https://get.activated.win | iex

In the menu, select 2 (Ohook) → then 1 (Install). Done. Activation is permanent, does not reset on Office and Windows updates. Forget about KMS and renewal every 180 days 🔥
