🌿 How the Excursion to the A. K. Malinovsky Botanical Garden of IvSU Went?

Last Saturday, participants of the "Blooming City" program went on an excursion to one of the most interesting green spaces in Ivanovo — the Botanical Garden named after Anatoly Konstantinovich Malinovsky.

🌳 The history of this place began in the late 19th century as a private park of the manufacturer Kharlampy Kuvaev. Later, the garden became a scientific platform under the guidance of agronomist Anatoly Malinovsky, and today it is a specially protected natural area and part of Ivanovo State University.

Currently, the garden contains over 2,000 species and varieties of plants from around the world. Here you can see collections of rhododendrons, hydrangeas, maples, rare and protected plants, and many other exhibits.

The excursion was led by the garden's director, Lyubov Sergeevna Bugayenko. Many thanks for the interesting story, many curious facts, and the opportunity to get to know this unique place better! 💚
