"Offer in one day" is no longer a flex. It's the new hiring norm.
I listened to what the market is saying. X5, HR IT Day, major employers — all in one voice: speed of decision on a candidate has become factor #1. Not salary. Not brand. Speed.
The logic is simple and ruthless: a strong candidate holds 2–3 offers at the same time. The only question is who makes the first move.
Now honestly look at yourself. A vacancy is open with 300–400 responses. Your head is spinning, you don't have time to dive in and sort them out. And you drag it out — a day, two, a week. Meanwhile, the golden time slips away: by the time you get to the bottom of the pile, the strongest candidates will already be taken by those who didn't procrastinate.
Okay, enough about the pain. Let's get down to business — what can you actually do tomorrow to speed up without losing quality:
- Respond to strong candidates on the day they apply. Set a rule: top resumes get first contact within 24 hours. Not a perfect review — just a live step forward. This already cuts out half of the competition.
- Cut the funnel not by resume "beauty" but by 2–3 stop questions. Predefine what disqualifies a candidate (location, schedule, key skill) and filter by those in a minute instead of reading every CV in detail.
- Don't invite everyone for an in-person meeting. The owner's personal time is the most expensive resource. Initial screening (motivation, adequacy, basic info) can be done asynchronously — via voice or text, when it's convenient for the candidate, not when you have a window in your calendar.
- Count not "how many resumes" but how many live conversations you've had. Resumes lie. Decisions about a person are made through conversation — so that's the bottleneck, and that's what needs to be expanded.
Sounds right, but honestly — the owner still doesn't have time for all this. And then there are three paths.
The first — hire recruiters for this. Expensive and slow.
The second — drop everything yourself: cancel meetings, postpone partnerships, ignore clients, and sit down to manually sort through responses. Put the business on pause for hh.ru.
Well, the third…
Wait. Or is there another solution to this pain — and you know it 😉
