▶️ Google's Gemini service can now create 30-second music tracks based on prompts. It uses Lyria 3, the latest generative music model from Google DeepMind. Today, the music creation feature became available in the beta version of the Gemini app in English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, and Portuguese.

▶️ It is accessible to everyone over 18, but Google AI Plus, Pro, and Ultra subscribers get more capabilities than non-paying users. To use this feature, simply describe an idea or upload a photo or video for Gemini to draw inspiration from. The cover art is automatically created by Nano Banana.

▶️ According to Google, "the goal of these tracks is not to create a musical masterpiece, but to provide you with a fun and unique way to express yourself" and to share your creativity with friends. You can describe a specific genre, mood, joke, or memory to create a track with lyrics or an instrumental composition that "matches your mood." As for the lyrics, they will also be generated automatically; you don't have to write them yourself.

▶️ Tracks created with Gemini contain SynthID, Google's invisible watermark for identifying AI-generated content. Google claims that music generation is intended for self-expression, not for imitating existing artists. If you specify an artist in your prompt, Gemini will treat it as creative inspiration and create a track in a similar style or mood.

▶️ The company also assures that it has filters to check results against existing content, but you can also report content that may violate your rights or those of other users.
