Apple TV is preparing a high-profile crime premiere — October 30 sees the release of 'Nocturne' with Liev Schreiber, Stephen Graham, and Zazie Beetz

Based on the bestsellers 'Lazarus' and 'The Sandman' by Lars Kepler, whose books have sold 20 million copies worldwide and been translated into 40 languages. The main character is Jona Linn (Schreiber), a former soldier and homicide detective who is tired of the tough streets of Philadelphia and moves to a quiet town in Pennsylvania for a peaceful life. Peace quickly goes to hell: the town and his family are attacked by serial killer Jurek Walter (played by Stephen Graham), and Jona will have to protect everything he holds dear. And when the search for Jurek's last missing victim hits a dead end, Jona sends his adopted daughter, FBI agent Saga Bauer (Zazie Beetz), against the maniac.

In addition to Schreiber, Graham, and Beetz, the ensemble includes Bill Camp and Rory Culkin. The showrunner is John Lavin ('The Shooter'). The first two episodes were directed by Emmy and Directors Guild Award winner Tim Van Patten ('Masters of the Air').
