Who needs a classic resume now, if 50% of pre-COVID skills and knowledge will become obsolete, while the risk of getting a dud instead of an expert is already about 30-50% according to my observations, if not more...
In total - almost 100% of the information in ordinary resumes will carry zero value in 2 years.
📌 Fix my очередной ЧБД forecast - what will happen next (very soon).
1. People will realize that their resumes and standard ways of finding a job don't work.
2. As usual, everyone will start jumping on the last train and buying groceries for New Year's on December 31 at 6:00 PM trying not to do something differently, but simply doing more of the same actions - shoving resumes not only on Avito, but also on HH, freelance exchanges, etc...
3. The time will come for designers who have already made a couple of false starts - they will sell the market beautiful resumes with the same zero meaning under the offer "new trend - designer resume increases the chance of getting a job by 65%", but this will quickly pass, because in fact nobody cares about graphics in documents.
4. At the same time, three more trends will unfold - a crush in the labor market, salary reduction due to an excess of offers, and an increase in the number of mini-companies that don't need staff, they need a team of up to 10 people.
5. Meanwhile, medium-sized businesses, various JSCs with a staff of 150+ people will stagnate due to rat race and internal competition for positions and established places. People there will survive by devouring their own, blindly cutting costs on everything except their own salaries, breeding bureaucracy to justify their place. They will not hire new and talented people - such people are enemies and death to them (although people will hope for these companies and send them resumes, because they are still an image of status and stability in the minds of the population). This will lead to a decrease in competitiveness and ultimately the ruin of these JSCs. The horizon of these events is 3-5 years maximum.
6. And then, in about 2 years, some YouTube-promoted "genius" or captain obvious will say from the stage - guys, a typical resume is no longer needed... create stories about who you are, how you think, and what you are capable of. On this basis, HR-info-gypsies will raise their heads and the service will become expensive due to hype, trend, market fatigue from unemployment and burnout from stupid hired work where 2017 regulations are more important than common sense and results.
🐱 I'm ready to bet that it will be like that))
As always, I'm slightly ahead of the market and its OBVIOUS processes and suggest starting to prepare the sleigh in summer - write stories about yourself and start looking for yourself in a team, not a job.
💡 Contact me or repost to someone who is looking to apply their talents - I'll help create a resume a selling story that will increase the chances of finding yourself in a team. @EseninSA
