I can't help but share: I recently learned about the current world record for hitting high notes among men and women. And honestly, I was shocked: I didn't know such a thing was possible😱

Now I'll tell you more:
1. Among men, the current leader is Amirhossein Molaei (Iran), who in 2019 in Tehran sang the note F-sharp of the 4th octave (F#8) (video 1). To give you an idea, ordinary male vocalists rarely reach the 3rd octave.

2. But what amazed me most was the record among women: in 2005, the Guinness World Records included the name of Italian-Brazilian singer Georgia Brown, who hit G of the 6th octave (G10) (video 2). There isn't even such a key on the piano!

Of course, all these records were set using the whistle register of the larynx, which, as you know, is rarely used in songs.

So from a practical point of view, in my opinion, this gives little advantage to performers, but the very fact of such capabilities of the human voice simply amazes my imagination🤯
