Happiness is not an abstraction. It is concrete moments that you can touch with your hands. Green grass, a striped umbrella, a dog running across the meadow, and a child discovering the richness of the world beyond four walls.
For a week and a half, we escaped the city. Not from problems — to life. Vera saw the forest. Not pictures in books, but real trees, grass, space where you can breathe deeply. Kashtan was in his element — he ran across the lawns, inhaling forest aromas with an enthusiasm that can only be envied. Lena was smiling — and that, perhaps, is the main indicator that everything was done right.
There is a funny metamorphosis in traveling with a child. Before, we packed for three — and each had their own backpack. Self-sufficiency in its pure form. Now, to these three, several more bags of the youngest member of our family have been added. And this is not redundancy — it is necessity. Because the world must be warmed, packed, weighed, and served at the right moment.
But you know what? All these bags, all these preparations — they are worth it. For one smile from Vera. For one happy bark at a toad from Kashtan. For Lena to be able to relax under a striped umbrella and just be.
We change our surroundings not for the sake of geography. We change them for the sake of perspective. To see each other in a new light. And this week, that light was truly warm.
Nature, as always, was generous not only with impressions but also with the lack of connection. Don't worry if I don't reply — it's not ignoring, it's forced digital detox. I'll reply to everyone by the end of the week. Promise.
The perfect day is not when everything goes according to plan. It's when everyone is happy. And these days were exactly that.
