«Where Has Wanda Gone?» returns: second season premieres October 21

Apple TV has announced the exact premiere date for the second season of its dark German comedy «Where Has Wanda Gone?» and released first-look images. Eight new episodes will start on October 21 — one per week, with the finale on December 9.

In the plot, the Klatt family (Heike Makatsch and Axel Stein) once again finds themselves in the center of chaos: their daughter Wanda (Lea Drinda) is found standing over a body — under highly suspicious circumstances. The parents must prove her innocence and find the real killer, diving into the criminal underbelly of a quiet suburb. The question is whether they will save their daughter — or sink even deeper themselves.

The creators and directors remain the same: writer Oliver Lansley, producers Natalia Kudiabor and Oliver Ossege, directors Toby Baumann and Christian Ditter.

The first season, by the way, received a rare 100% on Rotten Tomatoes — critics called it «electrifying» and «a gem that only Apple could produce.» So expectations for the sequel are objectively high.
